Why do we even need protein?

Protein is an important part of any diet, whether you’re making improvements, losing weight, competition prepping, changing your lifestyle or just simply maintaining your health.

Protein works together with muscles, bones, skin, hair, nails, and metabolism functioning, helping our day to day stability.

We need to intake protein DAILY to ensure our body is getting what it needs, as we don’t store protein like we do fats.

Why should I consume different sources of protein?

Although protein is usually associated with solid meats like chicken, beef, etc, protein can also be found in plants, which is perfect for vegetarians/vegans. The only downside to plant-based protein is that it may lack some essential amino acids. This isn’t a huge problem as there are different types of proteins you can intake to make up for that.

While intaking different sources of protein, you open yourself up to different values from each, while illuminating any one particular toxin.

Where can I find it?

  • Grass-fed beef – Animal protein is more complete and contains more essential amino acids, adding items like steak in our diets can really help with that protein intake.
  • Salmon – This is great source of protein, while offering a healthy dose of great fats.
  • Eggs – A medium egg will on average contain around 6g of protein along with all 20 amino acids!
  • Soya – An example of soya foods is tofu, which is a meat substitute but is still rich in protein.
  • A variation of nuts – Nuts tend to be calorie dense, however they offer (on average, using pistachios as an example) 6g of protein per 50 nuts plus a number of aminos.
  • Dried lentils – For vegetarians/vegans, these are great and offer 13g of protein per 50g.
  • Whey protein – These are commonly associated with the gym industry, but in fact if you’re looking for a quick source of protein which contains all the essential aminos, with nutritional value, these are great.

When The Toast Does Not Pop

When your toaster does not pop, and the toast is not released, it can sometimes be a problem with the thermostat, which results in the system not ejecting the toast. To remedy this, you need to unplug the toaster to avoid injuries, and this should be done before anything else. From there, you need to take off both the carriage lever and then the front cover of the toaster. This will give you the ability to look for a knob or screw. You then need to turn this knob or screw to the left, and then put the toaster back together and test it out. If it still does not pop when it should, then you’re going to need to look at the thermostat.

Fortunately, you can reset the thermostat on a toaster to readjust the temperature. To do this, you need to remove the dial knob on the device which alters temperature. From there, you should adjust the screw which is located behind it. If the temperature you want is lower, then you should place the pin accordingly to compensate for that. If the temperature you need is higher, then the same logic will apply. However, if the lever which controls the temperature is a lever, then you need to do something slightly different. In this instance, you need to bend it slightly up or down to suit the temperature you want. A higher heat will require the lever to be turned up, whereas a lower temperature will require the lever to be turned down.

Overall, the toast not popping on the toaster is one of the most common faults which the system can develop, and it is surprisingly straightforward to correct. The problem which you tend to encounter is that people will choose to throw away their toaster and look for a new model instead of taking time out of their day to repair it. This kind of mentality is a very costly one, as you may find that you spend a ridiculous amount of money on the toasters to replace the broken ones when you could just as easily repair the appliance. Not only will it save you a lot of money and time, but it will also help to ensure that you learn a valuable skill and lesson. We don’t always have to throw things away because they stop working. Instead, it is entirely possible to repair something and have it work like new again.
